The University Grant commission on 7th April 2022 has issued notice on continuation of UGC schemes upto 31st March 2022.The most important UGC schemes extended are the Schemes for Persons with disability in university and college, UGC research awards for faculty, UGC fellowships for post-doctoral researchers, Establishment of Centres in universities for study of social exclusion and inclusive policy.
However, the special assistance programme, centre with potential for excellence in a particular area and colleges with potential for excellence/college of excellence shall continue only up to the approved period of their tenure.
