The Pharmacy Council of India vide circular dated 15 March, 2022 has issued clarification regarding the judgement of the honorable Supreme Court dated 05.03.2020. The SC observed in the judgement that as far as recognition of degrees and diplomas of Pharmacy Education are concerned, the Pharmacy Act, 1948 shall prevail.
It is clarified that as per the Pharmacy Act, 1948 and educational regulations made thereunder, no authority shall conduct or increase admission to pharmacy courses without prior approval of Pharmacy Council of India.
