The Ministry of Textiles vide its notification dated 14th February 2022 has further extended the timeline for submission of applications under the PLI Scheme for Textiles till 28.02.2022. Earlier the date of submission of online application under PLI Scheme for Textiles was upto 31st January 2022 which was extended till 14th February, 2022.
PLI scheme for Textiles will promote the production of high-value MMF Fabric, Garments and Technical Textiles in the country. The incentive structure has been so formulated that the industry will be encouraged to invest in fresh capacities in these segments.
This will give a major push to growing high value MMF segment which will complement the efforts of cotton and other natural fibre-based textiles industry in generating new opportunities for employment and trade, resultantly helping India regain its historical dominant status in global textiles trade.
