Ministry of Textiles extends the date of filing application under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI).

The Ministry of Textiles vide its press release dated 28th January 2022 has extended the timeline for submission of applications under the PLI Scheme for Textiles till 14.02.2022.

Earlier the date of submission of online application under PLI Scheme for Textiles was upto 31st January2022.

The Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme is intended to promote production of MMF Apparel & Fabrics and, Technical Textiles products in the country to enable Textiles Industry to achieve size and scale; to become competitive and a creator of employment opportunities for people.

The scheme shall be valid upto 2029-30. The gestation period for both parts of the scheme will be of two (2) years i.e. FY: 2022-23 to FY: 2023-24.

There are two types of investment possible with different set of incentive structure. Any person, (which includes firm / company) willing to invest minimum ₹300 Crore in Plant, Machinery, Equipment and Civil Works (excluding land and administrative building cost) to produce products of Notified lines (MMF Fabrics, Garment) and products of Technical Textiles, shall be eligible to apply for participation in first part of the scheme. In the second part any person, (which includes firm / company) willing to invest minimum ₹100 Crore shall be eligible to apply for participation in this part of the scheme. In addition, priority will be given for investment in Aspirational Districts, Tier 3, Tier 4 towns, and rural areas and due to this priority Industry will be incentivized to move to backward area.
