The Karnataka Labour Welfare Board vide its press release dated 15th January 2022, has extended the due date for the remittance of the contribution from 15th to 31st January, 2022 under Karnataka labour welfare fund Act due to increasing cases of COVID 19.
It is mandatory for factories, plantations, workshops, motor, omnibus service, shops and commercial establishments, charitable trust etc to pay contributions in the ration 20:40 and remit it online through www.klwb.karnataka.gov.in
Further in case of any delay in payment, interest of 12% for the 1st 3 months will be charged and it will be 18% on the due amount after 3 months.
