The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) vide its office memorandum dated 3rd December 2021 has directed the manufacturers and importers of four medical devices (bare metal stents, drug eluting stents, orthopaedic knee implants, oxygen concentrators) to submit quarterly stock details starting from quarter ended December 2021.
Earlier the manufacturers/importers where directed to file monthly stock details, however based on the representation from the industry association, the companies are allowed to file quarterly stock details.
The manufacture/importer shall disclose the medical device registration number issued by CDSCO, medical device category, brand name and the stock movement for the quarter. The format for submission of quarterly stock details for medical devices has been enclosed along with this notification.
