The Government of Goa on 22nd October 2021 has published the Goa Excise Duty (Amendment) Rules, 2021 to further amend the Goa Excise Duty Rules, 1964.
Through this amendment rule 21 which deals with the application for permit, in which the following sub-clause 3 has been inserted:
The permit granted under rule 21 shall be for a period upto five years and it may be renewed by the Excise Inspector under whose jurisdiction the premises is situated, for a period upto five years.”.
Further form E-8 which deals with application for grant/renewal of permit of possession of liquor and the permit being granted in form E-9 has been substituted.
