DGFT amends the export policy of Diagnostic kits/laboratory reagents.

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on 14th October 2021 has lifted restrictions on export of diagnostic kits, instruments and reagents which are not used to diagnose COVID-19.

Earlier, there was a restriction on export of VTM kits and reagents, RNA extraction kits and reagents and RT-PCR kits and reagents which are used to diagnose the virus including 15ml falcon tube or cryovials, silicon columns, beads etc.

However, through this notification, DGFT has allowed all diagnostic kits/reagents/instruments/apparatus to be freely exported subject to submission of an undertaking by the exporter to the customs authorities at the time of export.
