The Government of Goa on 23rd September 2021 has published the City of Panaji Corporation Solid Waste (Management & Handling) (Amendment) Bye-laws, 2021 which shall be deemed to have come into force from April 2021.
Through this amendment the Sanitation Charges/Fees has been revised as follows:
The Sanitation charges for the waste generated from the Hotels & Restaurants (5 Star category & above) shall be Rs. 30/Per sq.mt for which the Area of kitchen and dining is to be considered for calculation and for hotel rooms it shall be Rs.5 per.sq.mt.
For all other Restaurants (excluding 5 Star & above Hotels) the charges shall vary from Rs. 600 to Rs 3000 depending on the size of the kitchen and dining. The establishment above 150 sq. mt. will be charged @ Rs. 20/- per sq. mt. The minimum charges/fees is Rs. 600/-.
Further for Lodging & Boarding, Hotel Rooms and Guest Houses, the minimum charges/fee is Rs. 300/-.
The Sanitation charges for Banks, Insurance, ATMs, Financial Institutions etc. shall vary between Rs, 300 to Rs 1000 depending on the size and The establishment above 100 sq. mt. will be charged @ Rs.10/- per sq. mt.
For bulk generators of waste who are unable to process their wet waste within their premises/site, payment to CCP for transport and processing will be Rs. 10/- per kg. per day in addition to Door to Door collection fees.
