The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board through notification dated 16th September, 2021 has issued the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (Third Party Conformity Assessment) Amendment Regulations, 2021. The amendment provides that periodicity for verification of IMS documents shall be as specified in respective regulations. However, the periodic third-party audit under Integrity Management Regulations for City or Local Natural Gas Distribution (CGD) Networks, natural gas pipelines (NGPL) and Petroleum and Petroleum Products Pipelines (PPPL) may be undertaken along with the third party audits under T4S Regulations with combined scope of both T4S and IMS regulations.
The periodic third-party audit shall also cover the compliance of mitigation of any nonconformity reported in the previous audits such as T4S or Integrity Management Audits or internal audits or like other audit.
