The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission through notification dated 19th February, has issued the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions of Tariff) (Second Amendment) Regulations, 2021. As per the amendment, the principal regulations shall apply in all cases where a generating company has the arrangement for supply of coal or lignite from the integrated mine(s) allocated to it, for one or more of its specified end use generating stations, whose tariff is required to be determined by the Commission.
It is also clarified that generating company having integrated mine(s) shall file petition before the Commission for determination of the input price of coal or lignite from the integrated mine(s) containing the details of expenditure incurred and projected to be incurred duly certified by the Auditor.
