CDSCO notifies the timeline for activities requiring minimum and major procedure for cargo clearance at port office.

The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization on 10th September 2021 has notified the timeline for activities requiring minor and major procedures for cargo clearance.

The port officer of CDSCO shall grant NOC based on document checks within 2-3 hours and the NOC to be granted after document checks and physical inspection without involving lab-testing shall be done within 24-48 hours.

Further NOC to be granted after document checks, physical inspection, drawing of samples, and testing by the laboratory shall be done within 48-72 hours.

However, in case of consignment where sampling is done, consignment may be released based on latter of guarantee submitted by the importer.

NOC from CDSCO is a must requirement for any firm applying for the License for manufacturing drug for the purpose of examination, test, and analysis of vaccines. No license can be issued unless a NOC is obtained.
