MCA has observed that companies applying to the central Government for declaration as Nidhi cannot satisfy the requisite criteria for it. Large number of companies which are functioning as a Nidhi companies have not yet applied to the central Government for declaration. Stakeholders are advised to verify the antecedents of the company functioning as a Nidhi company and to ensure that the company has been declared as Nidhi company by the central government.
