Implementation of ESI Act in Mayiladuthurai, Vellore and Ariyalur districts in T.N

The Ministry of Labour and Employment vide notification dated 31st August, 2021, has made certain provisions of Employees State Insurance Act, 1948 applicable in the entire area of Mayiladuthurai, Vellore and Ariyalur districts in the State of Tamil Nadu.

Following provisions of Employees State Insurance Act, 1948 has come into force in the entire area of Mayiladuthurai, Vellore and Ariyalur districts in the State of Tamil Nadu:

1. Chapter IV which deals with the contribution made to the employee.
2. Chapter V which deals with Benefits provides to the employees covered under the Act.
3. Chapter VI which deals with Adjudication of Dispute and Claims.

The above stated provisions of ESI Act has come in force starting from 1st September, 2021.
