The Government of Tamil Nadu on 15th June 2021, has amended the General Provident Fund (Tamil Nadu) Rules. The amendment provides that if a subscriber to the General Provident Fund scheme has attained the age of superannuation, the amount standing to his credit in the Fund shall be payable to him, along with interest.
This shall be applicable to all subscribers where the amount standing to the credit of the subscriber in the Fund has not been paid as on 15th June 2021.
