The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board(SPCB) through circular dated 20.07.2021 has directed that the re-rolling, cold rolling units and cold rolled coils in the state that have obtained consent to establish/operate from State Pollution Control Board shall require environmental clearance for operating. The SPCB has started to monitor the operation of the re-rolling, cold rolling units and cold rolled coils in the state that have obtained consent to establish/operate from State Pollution Control Board through the regional officers.
