The Director-General of Foreign Trade vide its notification dated 9th August 2021 has extended the period of modification of IEC till 31st August 2021 and has waived the fees for IEC updation done during August 2021.
As per the revised para, 2.05(d) an IEC holder has to ensure that details in its IEC are updated electronically every year during April-June Period. However, for the current year alone, the period is extended for one month i.e till 31st August 2021.
Further in case of no changes in IEC details same also needs to be confirmed online and no fee shall be charged on modification carried out in IEC during the period upto 31st August 2021.
