Sea Cargo Manifest and Transhipment (Fifth Amendment) Regulations, 2021

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs vide notification dated 23rd July, 2021, has issued the Sea Cargo Manifest and Transhipment (Fifth Amendment) Regulations, 2021. The amended provisions provides revised procedure and timeline for surrender, revocation, suspension, issue and expiry of license granted under the Sea Cargo Manifest and Transhipment (Fifth Amendment) Regulations, 2021.

  1. Application for Registration: Where the Jurisdictional Commissioner of Customs is satisfied with the information provided by the applicant in the Form-I, he shall register such applicant for transacting business under these regulations.
  2. Surrender of license: A licensee may surrender the license granted under Sea Cargo Manifest and Transhipment (Fifth Amendment) Regulations, 2021 through a written request to the jurisdictional Commissioner of Customs.
  3. Period of validity of a license: A license granted under Sea Cargo Manifest and Transhipment (Fifth Amendment) Regulations, 2021. shall be valid unless and until revoked. The license shall be deemed invalid, if the licensee is found to be inactive for a period of one year.
