The State Government of Madhya Pradesh vide its notification dated 30th June 2021 has directed all jurisdictional officers to run a special campaign from 1st July 2021 to 31st July 2021 for registration of major employers and license to the contractor under Inter State Migrant Workmen Act 1979 to legally ensure social security and to continusoly monitor the interstate migrant workmen.
It should be ensured in the survey campaign that to the employers to whom the act is applicable shall register their establishment in the prescribed format along with the required fee.
Further as per section 8(1) of the Act , no contractor to whom this Act applies shall recruit any person in a State for the purpose of employing him in any establishment situated in another State, except under and in accordance with a licence issued in that behalf.
