The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India through circular dated 23.06.2021 has revoked following covid relaxations w.e.f June 30, 2021.
- Limited inspections and provision for e-inspections
- Permission to temporarily operate food businesses on the basis of 17 digit application reference number (other than manufacturers)
- Permission to Food Manufacturers to operate with higher capacity, on the basis of application for modification of license.
Exemptions like Waiver of late fee for renewing the license and extension of timeline for submission of online annual returns shall continue.
