The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on 18th June 2021 has issued guidelines for management of Covid-19 among children in which CT chest is not indicated in diagnosis or management of COVID-19, However it can be considered only if no improvement in respiratory status.
The Ministry has recommended steroids only in hospitalised moderately severe and critically ill COVID-19 cases under strict supervision and it should be used at the right time, in the right dose and for the right duration. Self-medication of steroids must be avoided.
Every COVID care facility should have a multidisciplinary hospital infection control committee.
