Dental Colleges Directed to Apply for PG Course Renewal by April 30th

In accordance with the Dental Council of India (Establishment of New Dental College, Opening of New or Higher Course of Study or Training and Increase of Admission Capacity in Dental College) Regulations, 2006, dental institutions whose renewal for PG courses is pending are reminded to submit their renewal applications to the Dental Council of India (DCI) by April 30th, 2024. The Dental Council of India (DCI) issued a public notice to this effect dated March 13, 2024.

All dental colleges are hereby instructed to promptly apply to the DCI for renewal permission for PG courses, along with the requisite fee of Rs.1,77,000/- (inclusive of 18% GST) per subject as prescribed in the Dental Council of India (Establishment of New Dental College, Opening of New or Higher Course of Study or Training and Increase of Admission Capacity in Dental College) Regulations, 2006 (14th Amendment). Additionally, all necessary documents must be submitted to facilitate the timely processing of renewal requests by the Council.

Failure to submit the renewal application by the specified deadline may result in delays in the renewal process. The DCI emphasizes that it will not conduct inspections for the renewal of MDS courses in cases where applications are not received from the respective dental colleges by the deadline. Therefore, dental institutions are urged to adhere to the deadline to avoid any delays or consequences thereof.

This directive aims to ensure compliance with DCI regulations and facilitate the smooth renewal process for PG courses in dental colleges across the country.
