The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) through a notification dated 16.05.2021, provides guidelines regarding oxygen concentrators for managing Covid-19, especially in Home settings. The Ministry advises that oxygen concentrators with flow capacity of 5 litre per minute or more and delivering oxygen with concentration of 90% or
more are suitable for Covid-19 management. It is also advised that the concentrators contain oxygen monitor to verify concentration and digital meter to display cumulative hours of device operation. It is further advised that the oxygen concentrators should be purchased with user care instructions and technical maintenance protocols.
