The State Government of Tamil Nadu on 3rd April 2021 has announced new restrictions to control the spread of the coronavirus which shall come into force from 6th to 20th May 2021.
The new restrictions has allowed government and private offices to function with 50 percent attendance and grocery and vegetable shops to be allowed to function only till 12 noon.
Under earlier norms, the government banned the functioning of beauty parlours and spas in all corporations and municipalities. Now it is extended to rural areas too.
Further Continuous process industries and industries manufacturing essential commodities will be allowed to function.
However, e-commerce companies, Essential services, Media, freight, and medical emergencies are allowed at all times, and night curfew will continue from 10 Pm to 4 Pm.
