The Ministry of Finance vide its notification dated 1st May 2021 has slashed the Integrated GST to 12% from 28% for oxygen concentrators imported for personal use till 30th June 2021.
The Ministry in its earlier notification has exempted oxygen concentrators imports from basic customs duty, however, due to the demand for oxygen-related equipment has been increasing in the wake of the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic, the ministry has reduced the Integrated GST (IGST) on import of Oxygen Concentrators to 12%.
