The State Government of Tamil Nadu on 24th April 2021 has announced additional restrictions to contain the spread of the COVID-19 in the state which shall come into effect from 26th April 2021.
As per the new restrictions, beauty parlors, salons, spas, and barber shops will remain closed with exemption to takeaways in hotels, restaurants, and tea shops.
Standalone grocery and vegetable shops (except those located in malls) will be allowed to operate following the existing guidelines. Department stores may operate without air conditioning and with 50% customers at the same time.
E-commerce sites are allowed to function with restrictions and IT&ITES companies are mandated to allow 50% of employees to work from home.
