The Assam Pollution Control Board on 8th April 2021 has directed all the existing poultry farms having 5000 birds and above to apply for consent to operate within 3 months and all upcoming poultry farm proposing to have 5000 or above birds will have to apply for consent to Establish before 120 days of starting of establishment works under the water (prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
