ESIC directs pharmacies and pharmacy stores to maintain scheduled temperature and appropriate storage conditions

The Employees State Insurance Corporation of India through circular dated 07.04.2021 has directed all ESIC Hospitals to take cognizance of instructions of ESIC regarding maintaining scheduled temperature and appropriate storage condition in pharmacies and pharmacy stores. As per Schedule ‘P’ of Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1947, all medicines should be stored at scheduled temperature and appropriate storage condition free from dampness and sunlight to protect quality, stability and shelf life of the medicines.
