The Ministry of Health and Famliy Welfare vide its notification dated 7th April 2021 has excluded the Fixed Dose Combination of Tamsulosin HCI 0.4 mg with Deflazacort 30 mg hard gelatin capsule from banned list of drugs.
Eariler the ministry had prohibited the manufacture and sale of FDCs of Steroids for internal use except combination of Steroids with other drugs for the treatment of Asthma.
However the Fixed Dose Combination of corticosteroid with any other drug [excluding Fixed Dose Combination of Tamsulosin HCI 0.4 mg + Deflazacort 30mg in hard gelatin capsule can be used for internal use except for preparations meant for meter dose inhalers and dry powder.
