The Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission, issued a notification on 11th March, 2024 outlining amendments to the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (Grid Interactive Rooftop Solar Photo Voltaic Systems) Regulations, 2021.
The notification, specifies the amendments made under the powers conferred by the Electricity Act, 2003. The amendment pertains to the definition of “Settlement Period,” providing specific periods for different types of industries. Meanwhile, another amendment introduces provisos related to the applicability of settlement periods to Rooftop Solar Photovoltaic Systems already commissioned or for which applications have been received before the notification of the amendments. Additionally, it extends the current settlement period for Rooftop Solar Photovoltaic Systems set up by seasonal industrial consumers, which is due to end on 30th September, 2024, to 31st March 2025.
