Medical Colleges Must Submit Annual Declaration For MBBS Seats Renewal

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has mandated that medical colleges and institutes holding valid Letters of Permission (LoP) for MBBS admissions must submit annual declarations on the NMC portal. This step, in accordance with the NMC Act of 2019 and various regulations, is crucial for the annual renewal of permission for undergraduate MBBS seats.

The submission of the duly completed Annual Declaration Form for each college on the NMC Portal is deemed mandatory for the renewal process. The deadline for submission, along with the requisite fee, is set for 31st March 2024. Failure to do so within the specified timeframe will result in the denial of permission of seats for the upcoming academic year.

Additionally, colleges and institutes are reminded that registration of Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) with the NMC is essential for accessing the portal. Those yet to register their AEBAS are urged to promptly approach the IT Division of the NMC for assistance. Detailed user manuals are provided on the portal to facilitate a seamless registration process.

It is emphasized that all information submitted by the colleges and institutes must be accurate and consistent with data shared across different NMC boards. Once submitted on the portal, no editing of data will be permitted. Furthermore, colleges are informed that the data may be subject to public disclosure, if deemed necessary by the NMC.

Colleges are reminded that the requisite fee, including GST, must be paid online through the payment gateway of the portal.

For any technical queries or assistance, colleges are encouraged to reach out to the NMC’s web support team.

This directive is of utmost importance and urgency, and all medical colleges and institutes are urged to adhere to the stipulated timelines and guidelines to ensure a smooth renewal process for MBBS seats.
