The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India vide its notification dated 24th February 2021 has clarified that the Non GM origin cum GM free attestation on phytosanitary/health certificate for each consignment is also accepted, provided it contains all the information and declaration in the format issued by FSSAI in its earlier notification dated 21st August 2021.
Further, the Non-GM origin cum GM free certificate issued by authorised regional government authorities are accepted and the digital signature of the above certificate shall be accepted.
