The Karnataka government through gazette notification dated 17th day of February, 2021 has issued the Karnataka Shops and Commercial Establishments (Second Amendment) Act, 2020. The amendment provides that with respect to leave available to employees as per Karnataka Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, total number of the days of leave that may be carried forward to a succeeding year shall not exceed forty five days.
The amendment shall come into force immediately.
