The Securities and Exchange Board of India issued Corrigendum on 19, January 2021 to extend the commencement of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Investment Advisers) (Amendment) Regulations, 2021. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Investment Advisers) (Amendment) Regulations, 2021 provides that the board shall, while considering an application for registration as investment advisor, consider whether the applicant is a body or body corporate recognized for the purpose of regulating investment advisers.
The Regulation shall come into force on the date of April 1, 2021.
