The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India vide notification dated 12 January, 2021 has issued the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restriction on Sales) First Amendment Regulations, 2021. The Amendment provides that the maximum allowed limits for any incidentally occurring Khesari dal in grams /pulses shall be not more than 2% including other edible grains.
