The Kerala pollution Control Board vide its notification dated 9th December 2020 has directed all industries and the establishments operating DG sets of capacity 500KVA and above within the jurisdiction of the state of Kerala to retrofit all DG sets with emission control device/equipment having a minimum specified particular matter capturing efficiency of at least of 70% in 5 mode D2 cycle for equivalent KVA rating by any one of the five central pollution control board.
Further, it has directed to shift the gas based generators by employing new gas based generator or retrofitting the existing DG sets for partial gas usage.
The above direction shall have to be complied within 120 days from the date of issuance of this order by all industries and establishments within the state jurisdiction.
