The Department of Excise, Entertainment and Luxury Tax of NCT Delhi has that in continuation of order dated 28.11.2020 that directed that status quo in respect of prohibited/permitted activities may be maintained in NCT of Delhi till 31.12.2020 or further orders whichever is earlier, on 01/12/2020 has ordered to maintain status quo in respect of the activities related to bars in Hotels/Clubs/Restaurants for ‘on’ premises consumption of liquor under the licensee category.
It is further provided that owner of the establishment/licensee of Hotels/clubs/restaurants concerned shall ensure the compliance of SOPs failing which he/she shall be proceeded against as per the provisions of the section 51 to 60 of Disaster Management Act 2005.
