The Central Motor Vehicles (Fourteenth Amendment) Rules, 2020.

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways vide its notification dated 12th October 2020 has published the Central Motor Vehicles (Fourteenth Amendment) Rules, 2020 which shall come into force after six weeks from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

Through his amendment form, 22 which deals with the road worthiness certificate has been substituted.

The Road Worthiness certificate will be issued by the Manufacturer or Importer or Registered Association in case of E-rickshaw or E-cart, along with the vehicle.

The certificate contains the model, chassis number and the emission, Sound Level for Horn, and Pass by noise values of the vehicle model, obtained during Type Approval Testing as per Central Motor Vehicle Rules, 1989.
