The Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board vide its order dated 30th July 2020 has introduced a special dispensation scheme for industries which has not yet under the consent management and are seeking consent for the first time. These industries shall apply for consent to establish as well as consent to operate under the provision of Water Act 1974 and Air Act 1981. However, as a one time relaxation, such units will not be required to pay back fees for the year they were in operation so far.
The scheme shall be valid for a period of 90 days starting from 1st August 2020 to 30th October 2020 and it shall be applicable only to small scale industries covered under orange and green category.
Further, the board has directed the regional officers to dispose of all consent applications received under the scheme within 120 days from the receipt of application.
