The Commissioner of Excise, Tripura on 13th July, 2020 has issued partial modifications to guidelines pertaining to the settlement of grant of bar licence in the state of Tripura. The modifications are as follow:
- Detailed particulars of the location shall be submitted for license, including Plot No. and Mouza/ holding no. and street name, etc., name of the Ward etc, police station, name of the municipality etc. and PIN Code.
- The hotel should have a minimum of 10 single/ double bedded rooms with a minimum carpet area of 2000 sq.ft. and a restaurant of at least 250 sq.ft. The premises should be at least 1000 sq. ft. and shall have an attached restaurant, to secure a Stand-alone Bar Licence.
- Licence fees to the tune of Rs. 2 lakhs per annum shall be paid for license.
