The Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board on 1st July 2020 has extended the validity period of consent to operate issued under water (prevention and control of pollution) Act 1974 and Air (prevention and control of pollution) Act 1981 expiring after 31 March 2020, till 30th September 2020.
Further, the units/facility, which is authorized by the board under hazardous and other waste management rules, 2016, Biomedical waste Management rules, 2016, and solid waste management rules, 2016, expiring after 31 March 2020, and the authorization granted under these rules are extended up to 30th September 2020.
