NMC Mandates BCMET Completion for Medical Faculty

Recognizing the challenges faced by Government Medical Colleges in appointing faculty at the last moment, the NMC’s Postgraduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) has made a special provision. In such cases, the Principal Secretary, Medical Education of the respective State/UT, must provide an Affidavit confirming that the appointed faculty will complete the BCMET training within the next academic year.

FSSAI to Hold Stakeholder Meeting on Proposed Food Safety Standards

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has announced a stakeholder meeting to discuss proposed new food safety standards and amendments to existing regulations. The meeting is scheduled for April 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the FSSAI headquarters in New Delhi. For those unable to attend in person, the FSSAI has provided an online platform through Webex. Stakeholders are requested to confirm their attendance, whether physical or online, to help with logistical arrangements.

Nursing Institutions Given Extension for Suitability Renewal with Late Fee

The Indian Nursing Council (INC) has announced a final opportunity for nursing educational institutions to renew their suitability for the academic year 2025-26 from April 3, 2025, to April 30, 2025. However, institutions submitting applications during this extended period will be required to pay a penalty of Rs. 15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand only).
