India Launches Nationwide Campaign for 100% NCD Screening of Adults
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has launched an “Intensified Special NCD Screening Campaign” to combat the growing burden of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs). The initiative, running from February 20th to March 31st, 2025, aims to achieve 100% screening coverage for all individuals aged 30 and above for prevalent NCDs.
India Tightens Wheat Stock Limits to Curb Hoarding and Stabilize Prices
The wheat stock limit for Traders and Wholesalers has been reduced from 1000 Metric Tonnes to 250 Metric Tonnes. The wheat stock limit for Retailers and Big Chain Retailers is fixed as 4 Metric Tonnes per retail outlet or per outlet, with the total stock limited to 4 Metric Tonnes multiplied by the total number of outlets and depots, as the case may be.
