National Medical Commission Invites Proposals for Inclusion of New PG Medical Qualifications

This initiative aims to ensure that all new PG medical qualifications, including Post-Doctoral Certificate Courses (PDCC), Post-Doctoral Fellowships (PDF), and others, are duly recognized and meet the standards set by the Commission. Medical colleges and institutes are advised to submit complete and detailed proposals promptly to avoid any administrative or regulatory issues. Proposals must include all relevant details about the qualification, curriculum, and institutional resources supporting the program.

India Achieves Record Coal Production and Dispatch in December 2024

Between April 1 and December 31, 2024, total coal production from captive and commercial mines reached 131.05 million tons (MT), reflecting a 34.20% increase from 97.665 MT during the same period last year. December 2024 alone saw coal production surge to 18.40 MT, with a daily average production of 0.594 MT, a 30.75% increase compared to December 2023’s daily average of 0.445 MT.

Central Government Prohibits Nimesulide Formulations for Animal Use

According to an official notification, the Central Government has determined that Nimesulide formulations are likely to involve risks to animals and that safer alternatives are readily available. After consulting the Drugs Technical Advisory Board, the government has concluded that it is necessary and expedient to impose this ban in the public interest.
