Wage Hike for Part-Time Karmabandhus in West Bengal
The Government of West Bengal has announced a wage hike for part-time Karmabandhus paid out of contingency funds. The monthly remuneration for part-time Karmabandhus has been increased from Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 5,000. The revised wage will be applicable from September 1, 2024.

The daily wages for part-time casual laborers (PTCLs) have been increased from Rs. 13,500 to Rs. 13,770. The revised wages will be applicable retrospectively from July 1, 2024.
