RBI publishes latest status of withdrawal of ₹2000 Denomination Banknotes
The facility for exchange of the ₹2000 banknotes is available at the 19 Issue Offices of the Reserve Bank (RBI Issue Offices) since May 19, 2023. From October 09, 2023, RBI Issue Offices are also accepting ₹2000 banknotes from individuals / entities for deposit into their bank accounts. Further, members of the public are sending ₹2000 banknotes through India Post from any post office within the country, to any of the RBI Issue Offices for credit to their bank accounts.
Electrical Appliance For Domestic Clothes Washing (Quality Control) Order, 2024
The order states that washing machines must conform to the latest Indian Standard (IS) 302 (Part 2/Sec 7): 2010, which specifies safety requirements for domestic electric clothes washing machines. The order seeks to enhance the safety and quality of washing machines sold in the country.
Stakeholders Gain More Time for Feedback on Resource Adequacy Framework Discussion Paper
It may be recalled that the CEA had released this draft paper on October 18, 2024. Stakeholders were initially given a deadline of November 4, 2024, to provide feedback. Now, by the present notice, the CEA has decided to extend this deadline till November 17, 2024.
Deadline Extended For Feedback On Draft Amendments To Electricity Trading Contracts
CERC had proposed revisions to the regulations governing power trading on power exchanges in India. Stakeholders were initially given a deadline of November 4, 2024, to provide feedback. This deadline has now been extended till November 11, 2024.
New Guidelines for E-Waste Processing Capacity Determination For Recyclers
The processing capacity of an e-waste recycling facility will be determined based on the capacity of the maximum hourly capacity of installed machinery and equipment, considering a maximum of 20 hours of operation per day. SPCBs/PCCs will grant CTOs specifying the annual processing capacity in terms of the weight of e-waste that the facility can handle. Standalone dismantling facilities can be allowed, but the recycler must take responsibility for the flow of materials and report it in their annual return.
