Stage II (“Very Poor” AQI) now mandates dual-fuel mode or retrofitted emission controls for larger diesel generators (62 kW – 800 kW). Stage III (“Severe” AQI) imposes a complete ban on specific dust-generating C&D activities across the entire NCR. It also restricts specified means of transportation.
Government Approves Nutrient Based Subsidy Rates for Rabi Season 2024
The approved NBS rates for Rabi 2024 (October 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025) will be implemented to ensure smooth availability of fertilizers to farmers. Fertilizer companies will receive the subsidy based on the approved rates.
Nationwide Launch of Tobacco Cessation Centers in Medical Colleges
The virtual inauguration ceremony will be held on September 24, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. The ceremony will be presided over by the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare. All medical institutions must make arrangements for the establishment of Tobacco Cessation Centers (TCCs) in accordance with the Operational Guidelines, display the inauguration plaque outside the TCC and facilitate the virtual inauguration.
