Press release on Cyber Crime reporting mechanism

The ‘National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (NCRP)’ (https://cybercrime.gov.in) has been launched, as a part of the I4C, to enable public to report incidents pertaining to all types of cyber-crimes, with special focus on cyber-crimes against women and children. Cyber-crime incidents reported on this portal, their conversion into FIRs and subsequent action thereon are handled by the State/UT Law Enforcement Agencies concerned as per the provisions of the law.

National Cooperative Policy

Government on 15.02.2023, has approved the Plan for strengthening cooperative movement in the country and deepening its reach up to the grassroots. The Plan envisages establishment of new multipurpose PACS or primary dairy/ fishery cooperative societies covering all the uncoveredPanchayat/ villages ofthe country in the next five years, through convergence of various GOI schemes, including Dairy Infrastructure Development Fund (DIDF), National Programme for Dairy Development (NPDD), PM Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY), Fisheries & Aquaculture Infrastructure Fund (FIDF).

New Draft Rules to Amend Water Pollution Control Act

The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change on July 19th,2024 notified the Draft Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) (Amendment)Rules 2024 that aim to strengthen the enforcement of water pollution laws and ensure that offenders are held accountable. Public participation is encouraged to ensure that the final rules are comprehensive and effective.

New Rules for Vehicle Registration in Chandigarh

The Chandigarh Administration Transport Department announced an important update to the vehicle registration rules on July 22nd ,2024.

New Regulations for Fees and Charges of Regional Load Despatch Centres

The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has issued new regulations governing fees and charges levied by Regional Load Despatch Centres (RLDCs) in India. These regulations are effective from the date of publication and will apply for a control period from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2029.

CERC Seeks Public Input on Renewable Energy Tariffs

The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) is inviting comments from stakeholders on its proposal for determining generic tariffs for renewable energy projects in India. CERC proposes to determine the generic tariff for the first year of the control period, i.e. July 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025. It has therefore published a proposal to the general public.
