New Guidelines Streamline Compensation for Transmission Line Right-of-Way

Compensation applies only to high-voltage transmission lines (66 kV and above). It does not apply to sub-transmission lines or distribution lines. District authorities will determine compensation based on land value. States can offer higher compensation rates if needed. Additionally, alternate compensation options are available in areas with Transfer of Development Rights (TDR) policies.

FSSAI Strengthens Measures to Remove Unsafe Food from Market

If a primary lab report finds a sample unsafe, the FSSAI directs Designated Officers (DOs) or Central Licensing Authorities (CLAs) must prohibit the Food Business Operator (FBO) from selling the unsafe food product, and must initiate food recall in specified cases. Such timely removal of unsafe food products is vital for safeguarding public health.
