Japan has been actively supporting skill development initiatives in Maharashtra since 2017, with a focus on providing on-the-job training to selected students under the Technical Intern Training Program. The newly appointed Consul General of Japan in Mumbai revealed that the first batch of students from Maharashtra is set to embark on their training journey in Japan this June.

BIS Withdraws 47 Indian Standards

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has withdrawn several standards effective from May 10, 2024. This notification was dated May 28, 2024. These standards include Dielectric Capacitors, Resistors, Semiconductor Devices, Electromechanical Switches for Use in Electronic Equipment, etc.
